Site Readiness: 6.1 · LLM Visibility: 7.2
The Largest School Website in Its Set, the Smallest Search Footprint
EtonHouse runs 13 Singapore campuses on a playgroup-to-high-school pathway and publishes the largest website in its competitive set: 377 pages, against 153 at Stamford American and 126 at the Australian International School.
That estate is not converting into demand. EtonHouse holds 506 ranked keywords worth an estimated 6,864 monthly organic visits in Singapore, while Stamford American captures 23,419 from 607 keywords and the Australian International School 17,529 from 836. On the category's head term, both rivals sit on page one and EtonHouse is absent from the top 23 results.
The same pattern runs through AI answers: Google's AI cites the Australian International School's site 180 times and Stamford American's 103 times in Singapore, against EtonHouse's 54. Yet the China Immersion Programme already ranks second organically and ChatGPT already describes it accurately from your own pages. The demand exists, and the data shows precisely where it is leaking.

ChatGPT Names EtonHouse in Every Scored Test — Google's AI Cites Rivals 2-3x More Often
Six parent-intent prompts tested across ChatGPT and Google AI Overview, Singapore market
ChatGPT Query Results
| Prompt Type | Query | Mentioned? | Who Was Cited |
|---|---|---|---|
| Branded | Tell me about EtonHouse International School in Singapore — what age groups does it take, what curriculum does it follow, and what is it known for? | Yes | EtonHouse only. All 10 sources were etonhouse.edu.sg pages and PDFs (curriculum overview, primary, secondary, parent handbooks, school finder). No third-party source used. |
| Competitor-branded (diagnostic) | Tell me about Stamford American International School in Singapore — what age groups does it take, what curriculum does it follow, and what is it known for? | No | Stamford American's own site (7 pages) plus ibo.org. Diagnostic only — a well-behaved answer about a rival should stay on that rival; this row is not scored. |
| Category — bilingual preschool | What are the best bilingual international preschools in Singapore for a 3 year old who is learning both English and Mandarin? | Yes | EtonHouse listed 2nd (Upper Bukit Timah), ahead of Stamford American's Early Years. Six etonhouse.edu.sg pages cited: three book-a-tour pages, the campus page, the FAQ page, the pre-school overview. |
| Category — China immersion | Which schools in Singapore run a China immersion or Mandarin immersion programme where my child can study in China for a short period, and what destinations do they go to? | Yes | EtonHouse leads the answer's comparison table (ages 3-8, Beijing/Chengdu/Suzhou, 1-4 weeks), sourced from /china-immersion/, a Newshub post and the Parent Guide PDF. Seven third-party domains cited alongside, five of them government school sites. |
| Comparison | EtonHouse vs Stamford American International School vs Australian International School Singapore — how do they compare for a family choosing an international school in Singapore? | Yes | EtonHouse listed 2nd, with the caveat that it 'is not one single K-12 school experience' — the answer then narrowed to Broadrick. One third-party source (misslobang.com) used. |
| Long-tail / transactional | I'm a parent in Singapore deciding whether a China immersion programme is right for my 5 year old — is it safe, how do I know if my child is suitable, and which Singapore schools can I enquire with or WhatsApp about it? | Yes | EtonHouse Newton listed 2nd among Mandarin providers. The safety and suitability half of the question was answered from mfa.gov.sg and sas.edu.sg, not from EtonHouse. |
EtonHouse was named in 5 of the 5 scored prompts — the competitor-branded prompt is diagnostic and is excluded from the denominator. Awareness is not the problem. The pattern inside the answers is: when ChatGPT needs a fact about EtonHouse it goes to etonhouse.edu.sg, and on the branded prompt it used nothing else. But three of the ten sources it reached for were PDFs and one was a misspelled URL (/curiculum/), and on the transactional prompt — the one that asks whether a China immersion trip is safe and whether a five-year-old is suitable — the answer sourced safety guidance from a government site and a rival school, because those questions are not answered in quotable form on your domain.

Google generated an AI Overview on all six prompts — 6 of 6 — and in every case it sat above the first organic result. All six were served asynchronously, which means the membership of the AI Overview's own citation list could not be read; it is unmeasured here, not empty, and we will not report it as zero. What is measurable is the organic layer feeding those answers, and it splits cleanly: EtonHouse ranks #2, #5, #2 and #4 on the four prompts about EtonHouse, bilingual preschool and China immersion, but is outside the top 20 on both prompts where a parent is actively comparing schools — the two prompts where Stamford American and the Australian International School both appear.
Citation Surface Analysis
| Platform | Presence | Strength | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|
| youtube.com | Yes | 1.28K subs / 356 videos | AI's #1 cited domain in this category (730 mentions). Stamford American converts 4.33K subscribers from 99 videos; Australian Intl 4.05K from 336. EtonHouse publishes at their volume for a third of the audience. |
| reddit.com | Yes | 1,380 indexed results | #4 cited domain in the category (412 mentions). Top thread is 'Is EtonHouse preschool worth the fees? : r/askSingapore' — a fee-value question your own domain does not answer at group level. Australian Intl 3,980, Stamford American 1,120. |
| whichschooladvisor.com | Yes | 1,800 indexed results | The most-cited non-social third-party source in the tested answers (4 of 12 responses). EtonHouse's footprint is 5.6x Stamford American's 319. This is the strongest owned-adjacent asset in the set. |
| facebook.com | Yes | 73,500 indexed results | Most frequently cited third-party domain across the 12 tested responses (7 occurrences) and the #5 domain in the category mention leaderboard (395 mentions). |
| instagram.com | Yes | 29,400 indexed results | Handle @etonhouseinternational. Cited 3 times across the tested responses; #7 domain in the category leaderboard (275 mentions). |
| honeykidsasia.com | Yes | 426 indexed results | Parent-media source cited twice in the tested answers; carries an EtonHouse Sentosa family review. |
| sassymamasg.com | Yes | 230 indexed results | Cited twice in the tested answers and ranks #7 organically on the category head term — a listicle surface that outranks EtonHouse's own site on 'international school singapore'. |
| international-schools-database.com | Yes | 72 indexed results | Ranks #2 on the category head term. Carries an EtonHouse Orchard fees listing — a third party answering the fee question at group level. |
| expatliving.sg | Yes | 30 indexed results | Thinnest footprint of the third-party surfaces checked; carries an A-Levels feature on EtonHouse Singapore. |
EtonHouse is present on every citation surface that matters in this market — nine of nine third-party and platform sources checked returned an EtonHouse footprint. That is the asset: distribution is not the deficit. The deficit is what AI reaches for when EtonHouse is not the subject. The Singapore international-school citation landscape is led by platforms, not schools: youtube.com (730 AI mentions), en.wikipedia.org (655), moe.gov.sg (487), reddit.com (412), facebook.com (395) — the highest-placed school domain anywhere in the top 25 is owis.org at 146, and ais.com.sg at 90. EtonHouse does not appear in that top 25 at all. Two practical consequences follow. First, the answer surfaces that decide a Singapore parent's shortlist — the listicles at sassymamasg.com and honeykidsasia.com, the review pages at whichschooladvisor.com, the fee threads on Reddit — are all places EtonHouse already occupies and does not yet work. Second, the 356-video YouTube library is the single largest under-converted asset in this audit, sitting on the exact domain AI cites most in your category. Note on brand sentiment: a broad brand-mention sweep returned 21,350 mentions at 95.4% positive, but roughly three quarters of that volume comes from property portals (propertyguru.com.my 8,919, propertyguru.com.sg 4,630, iproperty.com.my 2,528) listing condos near an EtonHouse campus. That figure is not parent opinion and we do not present it as brand health. Similarly, 42 forum results on hardwarezone.com.sg resolve to a story about a different preschool operator and are excluded as name-adjacency noise.

The Fastest Site in the Set, Carrying None of the Markup That Makes It Quotable
Rendering, page signals and structured data across seven matched pages per domain
Rendering and Crawl Access — a Genuine Advantage
Bright SpotThis is the strongest technical position in the comparison set, and it is worth stating first because it removes the usual blocker. All seven sampled EtonHouse pages are server-rendered on WordPress and fully readable by crawlers without JavaScript execution — there is no client-side rendering problem to solve, so the score is not capped.
On speed, EtonHouse leads both rivals. The homepage records FCP 1.2 s, LCP 1.6 s, CLS 0.001 and 0 ms of total blocking time, against Stamford American's 1.7 s / 1.9 s and the Australian International School's 1.4 s / 2.0 s. Performance scores 88 to their 81 and 85; accessibility scores 100 to their 89 and 94; search-engine best practice scores 100.
Two hygiene defects sit inside this otherwise clean picture and both are live in the sitemap: a misspelled curriculum URL and a misspelled careers URL. The first one matters more than it looks — when ChatGPT answered the branded question about EtonHouse, one of the ten sources it pulled was that misspelled page, presented to the reader with a misspelled title.

Content Hierarchy and Page Signals
CriticalThe priority pages are the broken ones. The China Immersion hub carries three top-level headings and not a single second-level heading; the Beijing destination page carries seven top-level headings and no sub-structure at all. A machine reading those pages sees seven competing page titles rather than one topic with named sections for pathways, destinations, preparation, family voices and FAQ — which is exactly the structure the page already has visually.
Three further defects sit on high-intent pages. The How To Apply page's main heading reads 'Generic Template', its title tag ends in a dangling dash and its meta description is blank — this is the page a parent lands on when they are ready to enquire. The homepage title tag also ends in a dangling dash with no brand name after it. The Newshub index exposes exactly one second-level heading and it reads 'Posts navigation'.
Both rivals do the opposite on comparable pages: Stamford American's Early Years page carries one heading and thirteen sub-headings; the Australian International School's curriculum page carries one and eleven.
| Page | H1 count | H2 count | Title tag | Meta description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EtonHouse — China Immersion hub | 3 | 0 | EtonHouse China Immersion Programme | Present |
| EtonHouse — Beijing destination | 7 | 0 | Beijing Immersion Programme | Present |
| EtonHouse — How To Apply | 1 — reads "Generic Template" | 3 | How To Apply - | Blank |
| EtonHouse — Homepage | 1 | 8 | International School in Singapore - | Present |

| Australian Intl — Curriculum | 1 | 11 | International School Curriculum Singapore | AIS Singapore | Present |
Structured Data
CriticalAll seven sampled EtonHouse pages carry question-and-answer content. None of them carries the markup that tells a machine those are questions and answers. The gap is total and it is the clearest single explanation for why AI systems describe EtonHouse from prose it has to interpret while it quotes rivals from data they publish.
EtonHouse ships site-level markup well — breadcrumbs on all seven pages, site and search markup on all seven, business-listing markup on all seven. What is absent is every type that identifies the organisation as a school and prices its offer: both rivals carry school and organisation identity markup on 7 of 7 pages and fee-offer markup on 7 of 7, while EtonHouse carries neither on any page. Stamford American and the Australian International School each also ship question-and-answer markup on two pages.
The business consequence is narrow and concrete: a 3,900-word answer library already exists on your domain, and machines are not being told it is an answer library.

A 638-Word Admissions Page Against a 2,213-Word One
Content depth on matched page types across the three domains
Content Volume Gap on Decision Pages
HighThe pattern is consistent and it runs against EtonHouse on every page a parent reads while deciding. The admissions page carries 638 words to the Australian International School's 2,213 — a 3.5x gap on the page closest to an enquiry. The Broadrick fees page carries 1,387 to the same rival's 4,283 on its single group fees page, a 3.1x gap. The Newshub index carries 800 words and three internal links against 2,157 words and 201 internal links.
That last number is the most actionable in this section. EtonHouse's sampled pages carry between two and four internal links each; the Australian International School's blog index carries 201 and Stamford American's early-years page carries 35. With 377 pages published, EtonHouse has more to link between than either rival and links between them least — which is why a large estate is producing a small footprint.
On images, the reading is the opposite of the usual advice. Images are good for search and for AI: they drive image search, Discover and visual results. EtonHouse is image-rich (31 on the homepage, 33 on the fees page) and that is an asset. The issue is that images need surrounding text structure — alt text, captions, a heading above them saying what they show — to be readable as evidence rather than decoration, and on the pages above there is very little text around them to do that work.

The Deepest Answer Library in the Set — a First-Mover Opening
Bright SpotEtonHouse's FAQ page runs 3,900 words. That is 3.3x Stamford American's admissions FAQ (1,169 words) and 3.1x the Australian International School's deepest Q&A page (1,248 words). The China Immersion hub adds a further 16-question block covering the suitability and logistics questions parents actually ask. In raw answer material, EtonHouse is already the richest domain in this comparison.
None of it is marked up — and neither rival marks up their standalone FAQ page either. Both apply question-and-answer markup only to product pages (fees, curriculum, infant care). That makes this an opening rather than a deficit: the domain with the deepest answer library in the category can become the one machines quote from, and no competitor has claimed the position.
The transactional prompt in this audit shows what is at stake. A parent asked whether a China immersion programme is safe and whether a five-year-old is suitable for one; the answer named EtonHouse as a provider, then sourced the safety and suitability reasoning from a government travel site and a rival school. The question was asked, EtonHouse was in the room, and someone else supplied the answer.

The Highest-Traffic Term on EtonHouse.edu.sg Is a Recruitment Keyword
What the ranked-keyword mix says about who the site is actually reaching
Category Positioning — Absent From the Head Term Both Rivals Hold
CriticalWe ran three core category queries plus the six parent-intent prompt pages as a signal test — nine live result pages in the Singapore market. Treat them as diagnostic signals rather than a census of the category.
The signal is consistent. On the category head term, the page-one result set is a mix of rival schools, directories and parent listicles — Stamford American at #3, the Australian International School at #6 — and EtonHouse does not appear anywhere in the top 23. On the broader preschool term, EtonHouse enters at #12, and it enters with the homepage rather than with a preschool page, which means the ranking page cannot answer the question that produced the search.
The inverse holds where EtonHouse has built something specific. On the China immersion query, the hub page ranks #2 and Google generates an AI Overview above it — the only one of the three category queries where an AI Overview fired at all. The category head term does not trigger one; the specific programme term does. That is the shape of the opportunity: EtonHouse is losing the generic ground and holding the specific ground, and the specific ground is where the AI answers are being generated.
| Query tested (Singapore, live) | EtonHouse position | Who holds the top of the page |
|---|---|---|
| international school singapore | Absent from top 23 | iss.edu.sg #1, international-schools-database.com #2, sais.edu.sg #3, en.wikipedia.org #4, owis.org #5, ais.com.sg #6, sassymamasg.com #7, reddit.com #8 |
| international preschool singapore | #12 (homepage) | Page one held by listicles and rival schools; EtonHouse enters on page two with a homepage, not a preschool page |
| china immersion programme for students singapore | #2 (China Immersion hub) | AI Overview triggered on this query; EtonHouse's hub page holds position 2 |
| Bilingual preschool prompt SERP | #5 | sassymamasg.com, honeykidsasia.com, littleskoolhouse.com, preschooler.sg, mindchamps.org |
| Three-school comparison prompt SERP | Absent from top 20 | ais.com.sg #4, sais.edu.sg #7, plus sassymamasg.com, reddit.com, goodschoolsguide.co.uk |

Content Mix vs Brand Identity — the Site Is Recruiting, Not Enrolling
HighRead the top 150 ranked keywords by traffic and the picture of who this site reaches is unambiguous. The single highest-traffic term is 'educational assistant' — 8,100 monthly searches, position 6 — and it lands on a job posting. The next tier is generic parenting: 'parenting' at #4 on 2,900 searches, 'bullying' at #7 on 1,900, a cluster of Chinese New Year explainers. Enrolment intent appears further down: 'pre nursery singapore' at #8, 'igcse schools singapore' at #10.
Two things follow. First, the parenting and editorial content is doing real work — it is the second-largest traffic source on the domain — yet the main parenting library sits on a separate subdomain where none of that authority reaches the pages that take enquiries. Second, and more directly relevant to the China Immersion brief: not one China-immersion or Mandarin-immersion term appears in the top 150 keywords by traffic. The highest-placed Mandarin term is 'mandarin preschool' at position 5 on 260 monthly searches, and it lands on a campus page. The hub ranks #2 on its exact-match query and contributes no measurable traffic, because nothing above that exact phrase — the suitability, safety, destination and cost questions that precede it — is being captured.
| Keyword | Monthly searches | Position | Page it lands on |
|---|---|---|---|
| educational assistant | 8,100 | 6 | /jobs/7639988-teaching-assistant |
| parenting | 2,900 | 4 | /a-guide-the-101-of-parenting/ |
| bullying | 1,900 | 7 | /how-to-deal-with-bullying/ |

Competitor Keyword Moat — the Gap Is Against Stamford American, Not AIS
HighThe two rivals are not the same problem. Across the 67 keywords EtonHouse shares with the Australian International School, EtonHouse ranks higher on 40 and lower on 27 — EtonHouse is ahead on that overlap. Across the 56 keywords shared with Stamford American, EtonHouse ranks higher on 15 and lower on 41.
The losses concentrate in one place: the international-preschool and IB vocabulary. Stamford American holds #1 on 'international preschool in singapore' to EtonHouse's #7, #4 on 'international preschool singapore' to EtonHouse's #28, and #12 on the IB primary-years term to EtonHouse's #38. That is the vocabulary a parent uses before they know which school they want — and it is the vocabulary that feeds the comparison prompts where EtonHouse fell outside the top 20.
Stamford American also converts more from less: 607 ranked keywords producing an estimated 23,419 monthly visits, against EtonHouse's 506 keywords producing 6,864. The difference is not keyword count, it is which keywords and which page answers them.
| Shared keyword | Monthly searches | EtonHouse | Rival |
|---|---|---|---|
| international preschool in singapore (vs Stamford American) | 390 | #7 | #1 |
| international preschool singapore (vs Stamford American) | 390 | #28 | #4 |
| high school (vs Stamford American) | 1,900 | #29 | #12 |
| international high schools (vs Stamford American) | 320 | #13 | #6 |
| primary years programme ib (vs Stamford American) | 260 | #38 | #12 |
| Overlap summary vs Stamford American | 56 shared keywords | Ahead on 15 | Ahead on 41 |
| Overlap summary vs Australian Intl | 67 shared keywords | Ahead on 40 | Ahead on 27 |
Bright Spots — Where EtonHouse Already Wins
Bright SpotEtonHouse holds 37 keywords at position 1 and 34 more at positions 2-3 — more first positions than either rival (Stamford American 32, the Australian International School 30). Those 34 second and third positions are the most leverage in this report: each is one place from the top of the page, on a domain that already ranks.
Three clusters are genuine assets. The IGCSE and A-Levels cluster: EtonHouse holds #10 and #11 on two 3,600-search terms where the Australian International School sits at #19 and #23. The early-care cluster: #12 and #13 on 'infant care' and 'infant care singapore' against #20 and #29. And the age-eligibility cluster — 'nursery age singapore', 'singapore preschool age' — where EtonHouse holds positions 7 and 8 against #39 and #20. These are decision questions with commercial intent behind them, and EtonHouse already owns the answer.
The China Immersion position belongs here too: #2 organically on its category query, with Google generating an AI Overview on that query and ChatGPT leading its answer with EtonHouse's own comparison of Beijing, Chengdu and Suzhou. The programme is already the most AI-legible thing EtonHouse publishes. It is also the thinnest-linked.

Roadmap: From 6.8 to 8.1 in Six Months
Three horizons, sequenced so the China Immersion cluster compounds rather than restarts
Site Readiness Score
LLM Visibility Score
Horizon 1: Infrastructure (0-30 days)
+1.2 to +1.7 Site Readiness
Resolve 'Structured Data' (Section 04): school and organisation identity markup plus fee-offer markup sitewide, and question-and-answer markup on the seven pages that already carry answers.
Resolve 'Content Hierarchy and Page Signals' (Section 04): single top-level heading plus named sub-sections on the China Immersion hub and its three destination pages; repair the 'Generic Template' heading, the two dangling title tags and the blank admissions description.
Clear the two misspelled URLs named in 'Rendering and Crawl Access' — one of them is currently being cited by ChatGPT in answers about EtonHouse.
Nest the three destination pages beneath the hub so the URL path and breadcrumbs express one topic instead of four.
Horizon 2: Content (30-90 days)
+0.6 to +1.0 Site Readiness
Close the 'Content Volume Gap' (Section 05) on the two pages nearest an enquiry — admissions and fees — starting with one consolidated group fees page, the page type Section 03 shows both rivals ranking and EtonHouse fragmenting across 13 campuses.
Build the suitability, safety and destination pages the long-tail prompt in Section 02 asks for, so the answer to 'is it safe and is my five-year-old ready' comes from EtonHouse rather than a government travel site.
Act on 'The Deepest Answer Library in the Set' (Section 05): no competitor has claimed quotable FAQ status in this category.
Bring the parenting library onto the ranking domain, per the subdomain split identified in Section 03 — it is already the second-largest traffic source and currently none of it reaches the enquiry pages.
Convert the 34 keywords sitting at positions 2-3 named in 'Bright Spots' (Section 06).
Horizon 3: Authority (3-6 months)
+0.7 to +1.1 LLM Visibility
Work the citation landscape mapped in Section 02: whichschooladvisor.com, where EtonHouse already has 5.6x Stamford American's footprint, plus honeykidsasia.com and sassymamasg.com — the listicle that currently outranks etonhouse.edu.sg on the category head term.
Convert the 356-video YouTube library flagged in Section 02 into a cited asset — YouTube is the single most-cited domain in this category's AI answers and EtonHouse converts a third of the subscribers its rivals do from comparable output.
Answer the Reddit fee-value deliberation named in Section 02 on the owned domain, which the consolidated fees page from Horizon 2 makes possible.
Attack the head term identified in 'Category Positioning' (Section 06), where EtonHouse is currently outside the top 23 and both rivals hold page one.
